Blog Award!

I got a blog award.  My blog friend, Marianne, sent this award to me.  It was such a fun surprise.  Thank you, Marianne.

pieces of my mind

Marianne’s blog is Pieces of My Mind.  She blogs about her days and her family.  I really enjoy reading her blog because she tells a little about everything.  She is a mom, dealing with normal every day stuff!  Her blog is also very pretty- I love flowers!  Oh, she has added an anti-procrastination list which inspires me to keep going on my to-do list.  I think putting the list on her blog is very encouraging.

Rules of this Award

1.  Thank and Link back to the person giving me this award
2.  Share seven things about me.
3.  Pass this award on to other bloggers I have recently discovered and think are fantastic.
4.  Contact these bloggers to tell them I have awarded them.

I want to honor three bloggers with this award.

First, Sherry at Blessings From Our Nest

Sherry started me blogging but she continually inspires and encourages me, both in blogging and in matters of every-day-life.  Thank you, Sherry.

Katrina at Labor and Stive has another beautiful blog.
labor and strive

She blogs about her family and home life.  I love her photos.  She is an avid photographer so you can stop by there just about any time and see some amazing shots.  I like the name of her blog, too.  It tells a lot about our plight on earth, doesn’t it?  Thank you, Katrina.

The other blog I thoroughly enjoy and have learned a ton from is Bubblegum and Duct Tape.

Aside from having some of the most fun and colorful backgrounds and blog elements, Maria has great links and fun give-aways.  I am always inspired by her.  My creativity necessarily goes up just by stopping by on a regular basis.  Thanks, Maria.

About Me

I am supposed to tell seven things about myself so here it goes.

As I write this, I am compelled to say I enjoy writing.  I probably should write more, for a variety of audiences.  I just don’t take the time.  Blogging has been great for me for the writing aspect.

I have a business cleaning airplanes and I have cleaned everything from helicopters to a Boeing 757.

I really don’t care to holiday at theme parks.  Send me to vacation in a big, busy city any time.  (My poor children!)

Washington DC, April 2007.  Early AM from our hotel room window

I used to work for Princess Cruises and Holland America Cruise Line.  I haven’t thought much about it until recently and realized some of my friends and family didn’t even know this about me.

If I could eat pizza every day I think I probably would.  I really love, love pizza.

I completely appreciate it when my husband gives me appliances for gifts.  One of my most beloved gifts is my Dyson vacuum, which I received for Christmas the first year we were in our current home.  It is an invaluable tool which makes his gift so wonderful.  He thought enough about me to make my days so much easier.

(Oh, well, I have to say one more thing now.  I am married to the best husband.)

Thank you for the nice description of my blog. I too love getting appliances, tools and house stuff for gifts from my hubby. I too clean as a profession, though not aircrafts.
I too love vacationing in cities, but I won't say no to going to Disneyland once more.
Btw how did you get pictures of the blogheaders in your post?
It is so funny that we live so close and then find eachother online.
Have a good weekend.

Donnie told me I should visit you so I thought I would and I'm so glad!

I enjoy visiting big cities while on vacation too. There's so much to see and do there.

Like you, I would gladly eat pizza every day of my life!

Good morning Beth, thank you so much for your visit just now. I appreciate you sweet comment so much.

Your award is perfect for you. I loved reading more about you. This is a good way to get to know a new blogging friend. I too love blogging but not because I can write. I love sharing and journaling things that mean something to me and some times hopefully to others. I do love the way you write. Smile!

Hugs, Jeanne

Hi Beth, what a sweet ending to your post. I guess we both have the best husbands in the world.

Your job sounds like so much fun, I would love a job like that. I love washing my car and my husband can't understand why I wash it myself since he takes his to a car wash. I just get so relaxed and happy, it gives me a chance to clear my mind and takes the stress out of me.

I feel for your children, I guess because I live in a big city. I would rather get away to the mountains or a far away lake for camping. But I can see how you would be drawn to the city, it does have it's charms. The buildings, the people, the shops, the restaurants....

You are so sweet in passing the award to me. I'm so happy that you like my blog and that you find inspiration there. It's the reason why I blog, it's a lot of work but I when I get an award like this, it makes it all worth it. Thanks so much, you rock!

I will post it on my sidebar for everyone to see.

Hope you're having a great week.
