Pete's First Time at Jetty Island

Over the years, I have taken our three kids to Jetty Island too many times to count. Today was Pete's first time, and we took our own boat. As we got closer to the dock, we realized we had gotten a very late start and we may not be able to even dock. Well, we spied a strategically complicated but doable spot and with a little help from some people on the dock, we managed to not bash the boat next to us, the one in front of us (with people on board) or slam the dock. It was fine... not very graceful, but just fine. No one was laughing too hard. Leaving proved to be almost as funny. I'm sure Pete went to work very exhausted. We're going back out Monday for shrimp, most likely. We need lots of practice!
