The weekend holiday was very easy and enjoyable. I would have thought I would have been able to post at least one blog update but I was busy, hanging out with family. We didn’t really do anything accept visit, and eat.

It’s just this kind of slow holiday weekend that gives me gratitude. I am linking this post with Heidi’s blog, Heart and Home for Wednesday Gratitude.

We spent some time on the Kitsap Peninsula, visiting my cousin. My cousin held a fireside breakfast worship service in his backyard. He lead us in singing and then spoke from Acts 1 about waiting for God to set our path, instead of us giving God the choices we think are right for our life.
My cousin is in between jobs now so this topic was near and dear to his heart. I was blessed by his willingness, and obedience, to open his house (yard) and share the Word with us.
Today, my dad let me know his step-mom, my grandma, although she would never let us call her that, passed away. I am relieved she is not suffering any longer and happy to know she is with Jesus.
Doris, warming her hands as the day cools down. This is during the week of my wedding. She was a huge help and I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated her making the journey across the nation for my wedding.
Being without work, seeing family members pass, and not knowing what is in store for your life each day can cause a lot of worry. I am so grateful to know God and have His peace. I do not have to worry.
For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
