Visiting the Tillamook Air Museum

We only had one more full day of vacation but the weather was not that great. Fortunately, we had not driven to Tillamook before and we knew we could find a couple of things to do there that were indoors. We figured the weather would eventually get better so we could return to the beach in the evening. We of course visited the Tillamook cheese factory, where we sampled the cheese and bought several flavors of ice cream. After the cheese, we headed to the air museum. This air museum is far from fancy but the collection of airplanes in quite interesting. What really captivates the visitor is the building. This is where the navy housed the helium blimps that were used during WWII. There used to be two buildings, but one burned down a few years ago.
