Always Thankful Gratitude Wednesday

I was just wrapping up my compute time tonight with a quick stop at Heart and Home.  She has a weekly link party, Gratitude Wednesday, where we can share our gratitude posts.

Not wanting to post too often, I thought I would skip this week but Heidi’s post inspired me to post a quick note to share.

First I want to share my blog page link Sharing My Faith  I’m sharing this link because what I posted explains how grateful I am for modern technology, keeping us close even when we’re far apart.

P6091454 This is a photo of the National Cathedral in Washington, DC.  I’m not affiliated with this church, I just like the reverent look of the building.  I am a protestant Christian.

P6091468 One of the murals inside the Cathedral, depicting the beheading of John the Baptist.

My husband grew up in this area and spent some time at this church so when we took our kids to DC, we had to visit this church.  The grounds and building are amazing.  Still, it is kind of sad to think my husband spent time in this beautiful building, not knowing the love and peace of Christ.  I’m so grateful this time of his life is long behind him.  I’m so grateful my husband is saved, and he is the husband God wants me to have.

P6091493 We were there in early Spring.  The weather had been very warm a week before, but then it froze again.

Of course, then you would have to read my previous post about our 18th anniversary Boat Trip, and realize how grateful I am for married life.  I won’t go on about that great trip any more though. 8)

I'm so glad you joined the Wednesday Gratitude party again. It's not a huge meme, but we're small and mighty!!
That's a beautiful cathedral, there is nothing like that around here. Sometimes I wish Calif. had more history in it's architecture. I enjoy it so much.
Hope your week is going great!

The cathedral is beautiful and it's a great thing for your kids to experience being in a place where your husband spent time as a kid.

As always I enjoy visiting and learning a little more about you and your family. Your pictures of the cathedral are beautiful. There is something about buildings like that that make me pause and think about the talents and abilities God has given to men.
